Acceptable use policy

Draft for review by counsel. This is not legal advice. Text in [square brackets] must be filled in or confirmed before publication.

Effective [date]. Version 0.1.

This policy is part of the CasinoOS terms of service. It applies to the Customer, its staff and anyone else it lets use the Service. If you are unsure whether a use is allowed, ask us at [support contact] before you start.

1. Gambling law and licences

You must not use the Service to:

  1. offer, market to or serve players in a country or region where you do not hold the licence that country requires, or where the law prohibits your offering. The country rules in the Service help you enforce your own decisions. Opening a country in the Service does not make serving it lawful.
  2. serve players from sanctioned countries or regions.
  3. market to or accept bets from anyone under the legal gambling age, or from anyone whose age is not verified where the law requires verification.
  4. market to, or accept bets from, a person who is self-excluded, either on a national register or with you.
  5. switch off or work around the Service's protections in order to market to people at risk of gambling harm. These protections include the responsible gambling gate on offers, the crisis and self-exclusion handoff, the age block, and the PII stripping before model calls.

2. Marketing and communications

You must not use the Service to:

  1. send marketing without the consent or other lawful basis your market requires, or after a person has opted out.
  2. make misleading claims, such as "risk-free", "guaranteed" or "can't lose" offers, or claims that gambling solves financial problems.
  3. send offers that break the bonus rules of the player's market.
  4. send messages that impersonate another person or business.

3. AI features

You must not:

  1. send AI output to players without the review the Service requires, or build an integration that does so.
  2. present the live chat assistant as a person. The widget says that it is an AI assistant. Do not hide or change that label.
  3. use AI scores as the only basis for a decision with legal or similarly significant effects on a person, such as closing an account or withholding winnings, without review by a person.
  4. try to make the models produce harmful content, extract their instructions, or get around the guardrails, except in security testing we have agreed in writing.

4. Data

You must not:

  1. upload data you have no lawful basis to process.
  2. upload full card numbers, card security codes, passwords, or government identity document images into messages, notes or fields not designed for them.
  3. use the Service to build profiles of people for purposes unrelated to running and protecting your gambling business.

5. Security and integrity

You must not:

  1. share sign-in details between people, or give anyone a higher role than they need.
  2. probe, scan or test the Service's security without our written agreement.
  3. interfere with or overload the Service, or try to read another customer's data.
  4. reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.
  5. edit or delete audit trail entries, or try to.

6. Affiliates

If you run an affiliate programme in the Service, your affiliate terms must forbid the conduct in sections 1 and 2, and you must act on breaches. A template is provided.

7. What happens if this policy is breached

We may ask you to stop, remove content, or suspend the accounts or features involved, as narrowly as we can, under section 13 of the terms of service. Serious or repeated breaches are a material breach of the agreement. We may report illegal activity to the relevant authorities where the law requires it.
